Welcome!

The purpose of this Blog is to introduce family and interested parties to the Berolzheimer Family Genealogy Project, administered by Adrienne Watkin and sponsored by Michael G. Berolzheimer. Our goal is to identify new Berolzheimer family members to add to the Tree, as well as to fill in details of family members already in the Tree.

The Tree is currently in the construction stage.

VOGEL BEROLZHEIMER [IV]

VOGEL (VOGELE) BEROLZHEIMER (IV 6/8) b. 4 Nov 1776 in Berolzheim, d. 16 Sep 1828 in Sulzbürg, was the fourth child, third daughter of Hirsch Salomon Low Hausmann Berolzheimer (sm 5/5).  Vogel married Joseph Wolf, b. 28 Feb 1776, d. 19 Dec 1845.  They had two children:

WOLF WOLF (IV 7/11) b. 8 Jul 1809, d. 14 May 1884 in Neumarkt, Oberpfalz. Wolf married Jette Kaufmann 11 Feb 1834 in Sulzbürg, daughter of Jacob Kaufmann who took the name of Kohler, and of his wife Rosalie Bloch from Dachau in Bohemia.  Wolf worked at a textile manufacturer in Sulzbürg.  They had nine children:

1.  FANNY WOLF (IV 8/21) b. 19 Jan 1835 in Sulzbürg, d. 5 Jan 1911 in Gunzenhausen.  Fanny married David Joelsohn, b. 12 Dec 1829, d. 1 Jun 1914. They had 2 sons:
    1.  JULIUS JOELSOHN (IV 9/52) b. 27 Jan 1867 in Gunzenhausen; unmarried.
    2.  HEINRICH JOELSOHN (IV 9/53) b. 17 Aug 1868 in Gunzenhausen, d. 13 Mar 1921 in Cham, Oberpfalz; m. Hedwig Dernberg. They had 3 children:
      1. LUDWIG JOELSOHN (IV 10/61) in New York.
      2. IRMA JOELSOHN (IV 10/62) in New York.
      3. JOSEF JOELSOHN (IV 10/63) in Cham, Oberpfalz
2.  RÖSLE WOLF (IV 8/22) b. 18 Mar 1836 in Sulzbürg, d. 7 Apr 1837.

3.  ERNESTINE (ESTER) WOLF (IV 8/23) b. 8 May 1837 in Sulzbürg, d. 22 Feb 1919 in Berolzheim, married widower Selignann Wolf Schönwalter in Berolzheim. He died 25 Feb 1885. They had 1 son: HEINRICH SCHÖNWALTER (IV 9/54), b. 4 Oct 1868 in Berolzheim, d. in America.

4.  MORITZ (MOSES) WOLF (IV 8/24) b. 8 Aug 1839 in Sulzbürg, d. 9 Oct 1896 in Neumarkt, Oberpfalz; married Marie Friedrich from Schnaittach, b. 6 Sep 1841, d. 20 Sep 1876. They had 5 children:
    1. FANNY WOLF (IV 9/55) b. 16 Mar 1869, m. Isi Herz from Cologne.
    2. SIGMUND WOLF (IV 9/56) b. 3 Mar 1871 in Stuttgart.
    3. HEINRICH WOLF (IV 9/57) b. 24 Mar 1872, m. Paula Schönwalter. Heinrich was the owner of a men's wear store, formerly Schönwalter in Munich.
    4. FRIDA WOLF (IV 9/58) b. 10 Jun 1873, lived in Munich.
    5. IDA WOLF (IV 9/59) b. 15 Oct 1875, m. Richard Enoch, an insurance broker in Munich.
5.  HERMANN (HIRSCH) WOLF (IV 8/25) b. 10 May 1842, d. 22 Apr 1845.

6.  SALOMON WOLF (IV 8/26) b. 21 Jul 1843 in Sulzbürg, d. 24 Dec 1873. Salomon was unmarried.

7.  THERESE WOLF (IV 8/27) b. 6 Sep 1844 in Sulzbürg, d. 29 Nov 1921 in Neumarkt, Oberpfalz; married widower Süsle Bernhard Neustätter 19 Jun 1872, b. 18 Apr 1821, d. 3 Sep 1882. They had 7 children:
    1. SALOMON NEUSTÄDTER (IV 9/60) b. 14 Jan 1875 in Sulzbürg, m. 10 Apr 1922 Karoline Bamberger, b. 21 Apr 1892. They had 1 son: SIEGFRIED NEUSTÄDTER (IV 10/63-a) b. 5 Jul 1923 in Neumarkt, Oberpfalz.
    2. LOUIS NEUSTÄDTER (IV 9/61) b. 14 Apr 1876 in Sulzbürg, d. Apr 1972 in Utica, N.Y., m. Amy Scott, b. abt 1875 in England. They emigrated to Kennmore, New York, and had 1 son: WALTER SCOTT NEUSTÄDTER (IV 10/63-b) b. 30 Dec 1908 in Buffalo, NY, d. May 1984 in Long Beach, Nassau, NY, m. Christine Mary Tillotson 23 Sep 1939 in Ridgewood, NY, b. 8 Jun 1909 in Oxford, Chenango, NY.
8.  ISAAC WOLF (IV 8/28) b. 4 Dec 1845 in Sulzbürg, d. 5 Mar 1905 in Neumarkt, Oberpfalz; married Rosalie Wassermann 23 Sep 1874, b. 25 Sep 1850, daughter of Abraham Wassermann and his wife, Rebekka Kohler. Isaak and Rosalie had 1 son: MAX WOLF (IV 9/67), b. 28 Feb 1876 in Neumarkt, d 9 Adar 1880.

9.  ROSALIE WOLF (IV 8/29) b. 14 May 1847 in Sulzbürg, d. in Regensburg, and was unmarried.


DOELZLA (THERESE) WOLF (IV 7/12) b. 2 Jan 1812 in Sulzbürg, d. 24 Apr 1877 a widow. She married Max Oettinger 22 Jan 1833 in Berching, b. 19 Mar 1805, d. 7 Oct 1870.  Max, the son of Abraham Oettinger and his wife Amalie Löwenmayer, worked as a merchant in Sulzbürg.  They had 15 children; 5 died in infancy.

1.  SALOMON OETTINGER (IV 8/30) b. 21 Dec 1833 in Sulzbürg, d. 24 Feb 1890 in Heidelberg.  He married Johanna Katz, b. 1838, d. 1899, daughter of Isaak Katz in Buttenheim. Salomon was a merchant and legal advisor in Neumarkt, Oberpflaz. They had 9 children:
    1. ADOLF OETTINGER (IV 9/68) b. 11 May 1863, d. 17 Apr 1925 in Frankfurt/Main, m. 3 May 1892 Anna Bing, b. 13 Apr 1872. They had 2 children:
    2. IGNAZ OETTINGER (IV 9/69) b. 4 Aug 1864 in Neumarkt, d. 28 Jan 1917 in Berlin.
    3. THEODOR OETTINGER (IV 9/70) b. 24 Mar 1866 in Neumarkt, d. 14 Mar 1926, m. 26 Dec 1901 Paula Kahn, b. 4 Mar 1880 in Leipzig. They had 1 son: FRANZ OETTINGER (IV 10/68), b. 19 Oct 1902 in Nürnberg.
